Assistant General Manager C&I - Renewable Energy
Role:
AGM – C&I Professional (including on site solution) to join renewables energy and who will ensure
developing power supply business in the C&I space. AGM C&I will provide robust internal process
integration and aligned team efforts to establish credible and reliable arrangement of power supply.

Job Summary:
Torrent Power Ltd. is active and well established in power generation and power distribution space.
Apart from its ~3100 MW thermal generation business, it is currently operating ~140 MW of Solar and
~650 MW of Wind projects, has ~400 MW Solar and ~115 MW Wind Projects under execution, and
has aggressive plans to grow further in the RE sector.
The role required a candidate who have an in depth knowledge and support the business in key
decisions, develop business opportunities by researching & identifying potential clients in our target /
assigned segment, maintain and expand client database within the assigned territory / PAN India,
ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls to action, dates, complete
profile information, sources, etc., assist in creating responses to potential clients, build relationship
with existing clients, understand clients requirements, evaluate options and provide suggestions,
identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and
competition status.
Key Responsibilities:
• Spotting Business opportunities and building Business Volume by acquiring New Clients for
the Company; Building the revenue pipeline.
• Developing tailored solutions that will result in additional revenue from existing clients.
• Create new business opportunities from the existing & new accounts, to achieve profitability
and increased sales growth.
• Understand a prospect's business needs and work with the expert teams to develop a
customized proposal and operational action plan.
• Design, implement and facilitate annual marketing plan.
• Development and implementation of quarterly C&I plan to drive targeted meetings in line
with the annual plans - in consultation with the GM.
• Familiarize yourself with all products and services offered by our companycompany
• Implementation of the client wise internal process - Client wise data and documentation
reports to prepare the accurate client reporting, business MIS reporting and Global MIS
• Ensure on-time and accurate Customer Database management.
• Support and monitor Company Compliances and Statutory Rules and Regulations
implementing for each client.
• Detailed study of C&I Tender Document for Solar & Wind and Hybrid capex models.
• Evaluation of Pre-Qualification (PQ) Criteria & Other Tender condition i.e., regulatory
framework, commercial & legal conditions, payment security, assignment / substitution from
lenders perspective etc.
• Identify potential risks to the organization and peruse for change/modification in tender
condition to mitigate the risk.
• Power Trading, Open Access, Energy Settlement, ABT metering, Power Exchanges, STOA.
MTOA, LTA, DAM, TAM, GTAM, Landed Tariff Calculation, Connected Voltages of Industries,
Electricity Sale and Purchase, Proposal Drafting.
• Interacting with Govt. officials on weekly basis at RLDC/SLDC/DISCOM/Seller.
• Report submission on weekly basis, Cost benefit analysis for Banking and Purchase of power
by Utility, Feasibility study, Data Base development of DISCOM/Sellers, Knowledge sharing,
Policy, and Regulatory Update
• Prepare management deck capturing bid key condition, potential risks, financial numbers,
competitor scenario for final bid decision.
• Co-ordination among internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance to the Prepare
the proposal.
Experience/Skills:
• 12-18 years' relevant experience in renewable energy specially in C&I segment.
• BE/MTech/MBA in Electrical/Mechanical/Business Management is required.
• Due diligence of Tender documents
• PPA / Contract Compliances & Management (CPs/CSs/FM/CIL/EoT)
• Bidding and Tendering in all type of Model/Contract structures (I.e., BOO/HAM/EPC)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of new upcoming business areas in power sector.
• Strong financial and regulatory analysis skills.
• Neat, well-groomed appearance.
• Great networking skills.
• Organizational/time management skills are required.
• Extensive travelling will be required for client meetings.
