Skill Set :

  1. Knowledge of the Windows, MAC, iOS, and Android Platforms.
  2. Strong programming experience in Python or C/C++ and Java Script.
  3. Strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms and Operating systems.
  4. Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  5. Strong programming experience in scripting languages like Python, Groovy, Unix Shell scripting, Windows PowerShell.
  6. Extensive experience in using Jenkins in an enterprise, Pipeline knowledge is a plus.
  7. Extensive experience managing branches and usage of GIT, Perforce or other SCM tools.
  8. Knowledge of Ansible/Chef/Puppet/Salt/WKSP1 or any other configuration management & provisioning systems.
  9. Experience in Installer technologies and development of installers using various tools like InstallShield, Inno etc.
  10. Experience with Virtualization systems like VMWare and knowledge of Docker or other container management system.
  11. Leadership experience a plus.

Job Description :

As a Build and Release Engineer, you will be part of a team that is building the next generation build and release platform for Adobe. We need your expertise to help develop, scale, automate, and improve the underlying infrastructure, software, processes, and services required to support enterprise software development, quality engineering, and production releases.

  1. Develop and implement new build technologies, practices, and methods.
  2. Contribute to the Common Build Framework, adding new surfaces and functions including highly complex software build compilation, packaging, validation and release procedures for multiple platforms and surfaces.
  3. Research and pilot new technologies that enhance the build, installer implementation, seek out techniques to move the team toward new heights in build/installer technology.
  4. Own and continually improve the software applications and tools that run our production and CI pipelines.
  5. Port legacy build systems to common pipelines and common automation technology and help teams adopt common practices and methods.
  6. Develop and support the Microsoft/Android/iOS/PC/MAC/Linux build and release pipelines and ecosystems.
  7. Develop and enhance the product installers ensuring seamless deployment of Adobe products for retail and enterprise users.
  8. Own and drive the end-to-end build and installer system for multiple products, across platforms.
  9. Communicate and coordinate well with both engineers and managers. Able to work with product management and engineering teams to discuss, design and implement various release and deployment requirements.
  10. Working with different teams across Adobe to design solution for new requirements and resolving any customer issue related to product deployments.
